If you’re a Canadian student who has received an offer of admission, you’re ready for Destination UBC!
The spring is an important period in your academic journey – it’s the time when you’ll decide where you want to study after high school. We know that choice can be tough, so Destination UBC is your chance to find out what makes UBC such a vibrant place to live, play, and study – and discover whether it’s the right home for you.
This two-week event will give you the chance to connect with other admitted students, current UBC students, and UBC staff members and faculty. Join us online for exciting and informative sessions that will help you make your decision, and prepare you for your university life this upcoming fall.
Start building your community early. Over the course of Destination UBC, you’ll meet other incoming students and begin making your first connections.
Find out what life and learning looks like as a member of your UBC Faculty. Meet your UBC professors, be welcomed by your Associate Dean, and discover the many ways you’ll be supported academically throughout your time at UBC.
Housing, tuition, planning your finances, how to look after your health and wellness – we know you probably have lots of uncertainty about the decisions you’ll need to make in the coming months. As part of Destination UBC, you’ll have the chance to learn about what resources are available to you, and ask all of your questions.
Over the course of two weeks, there are more than 70 events for Destination UBC. Don’t worry – you don’t need to go to all of them!
Some sessions are just for certain communities – for example, Indigenous students or parents – and you’ll only be eligible to attend sessions for the UBC campus you’ve been admitted to, unless they are open to everyone.
To get the most out of Destination UBC, we recommend you attend at least:
