UBC Okanagan clubs

Concrete Toboggan Team

Each year this engineering student team designs and constructs a toboggan with a sliding surface made of concrete, and then races it in the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race.

Exercise Is Medicine

The Exercise Is Medicine group promotes exercise as a preventative measure and treatment to disease. They aim to increase the percentage of students, faculty, and staff who regularly participate in exercise at a level to achieve health benefits.

Varsity Outdoor Club Okanagan

The VOCO caters to all skill levels and is all about the outdoors. They run club-organized trips and events, from ski touring to rock climbing to horseback riding.

Matt Stefan was seeking a laid back and connected lifestyle when he chose UBC’s Okanagan campus. “The biggest thing about the Okanagan for me was the amenities. Big White was a huge part in my decision to come out here,” he says.
